Moonrest Privacy Notice

Effective September 22, 2026. Protomansion. Moonrest is free, with no account, ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Local records

Notes, drafts, routines, check-ins and personal history stay in app storage. We do not upload their content or send it to external AI. Removing the app or losing a device may lose records. Exports are unencrypted JSON files shared only through the file or sharing service you choose. Keep backups safe. You can erase records in Settings.

Optional usage counts

We aggregate app opens, rest starts, note saves and morning views. Requests contain the UTC day, iOS/Android platform, app version, counts and a random per-batch retry identifier. No account, persistent device ID, note content, feelings, health data, location or country is sent. The server stores daily totals (400-day retention threshold) and temporary deduplication IDs (about nine days). Expired rows are removed when the next usage request is processed. Turning counts off clears unsent batches and stops future sending. Totals already aggregated cannot be linked to you or individually removed. Offline batches are capped at 100; batches older than seven days are removed on the next record or transmission. Counts may underreport actual use. Core features and downloaded audio work offline.

Network services

Additional voices download from moondiary.app. HTTPS requests require IP processing; hosting and network providers may process access and security logs. Ordinary application and proxy access logging is disabled for the count endpoint; infrastructure processing and error/security logs are separate. Apple and Google provide aggregated store analytics under their own policies. Moonrest does not connect to Apple Health or Health Connect.
